Reminder:

•A reminder that I never thought I would one day be standing on a beach in Indonesia. Here it is. Everything can be possible if you work your ass off for it•

Up all night.

•him•

There’s something to be said about being able to stay up all night just talking to someone. Someone that you don’t mind being exhausted the next day because that time spent with them is the best part of your day. With totally opposite schedules you do anything just about anything to get that small window of time with them. It’s crazy how an afternoon brunch with friends can change your life completely. When you least expect it.

The (bitter) cold hard truth. (Pt.1)

Life wasn’t the same. Living with a man you once devoted your life to was difficult. We went 6 months with nobody else knowing we had split. People always told me they wish they were us. Finding “the one” at such a young age. It wasn’t true. I was living a lie. I wouldnt say I was unhappy. I was living with my best friend, he understood all my wants and needs but we just couldn’t get marriage to work. We grew apart. I couldn’t be happier for him. He found his voice. He knew what he wanted to be and what he wanted to do in life. What more could you want for someone you so deeply care about? Maybe we weren’t destined to be together but that doesn’t mean I didn’t care about him. Something wasn’t right. We didn’t fit like puzzle pieces. I was okay with it. This was just the first chapter of a new beginning. I had no idea where I was going but I knew it couldn’t be with him.

Project Wild.

•Meet me in the mountains•

I can honestly say I never thought I would live this life. Ask me two years ago and I probably would’ve laughed at you. Sure, I have always been a country girl. I loved spending my time outside, sitting by a bonfire or just paddiling my way around a lake. To live near and explore the mountains almost daily though? Never. Going through all my life experiences when I was younger taught me a lot. The power of no. Saying no only ever limited me to things I was too scared to do. You can’t fear something you don’t know. When I finally decided to take the leap and do things on my own that’s when I saw things change. I get it, I’m a single female taking on the mountains in my small little car with my two dogs. There is risks. I do my best to play it smart at all times. Thankfully I’m naturally born “street smart” and know a thing or two about the outdoors. That is where Project Wild comes in. I want to show you, anyone who is reading this; that you’re only limited to things you say no to. There’s nothing you can’t do if you ask the right questions and do your homework. With a little bit of dedication you can stop dreaming and start doing things you didn’t know were possible. Look at me: I was a married housewife with a crazy career in the car industry and a life most people dreamnt of and I still wasn’t happy. I needed more. I needed to stop dreaming and start doing. To anyone who feels limited, who feels like they can’t just go outside and enjoy the outdoors: this ones for you. I promise you it’s probably not going to be easy, but it’s going to be worth it. Take it from someone who felt trapped in a traditional life style and simply wanted more. I wanted to be Wild.

Check my Instagram for any and all updates as to where I am next! Always feel free to message me if you aren’t feeling brave enough to say yes to something you truly want. I’m here to support you.

Stay tuned.

When it all comes down.

The hole. That black hole we all seem to get ourselves in. When everything in life seems to be plummeting down. You know you aren’t alone in it, you know you’re going to pull through it however when you’re down, you’re way down. Feeling like you’re constantly fighting an uphill battle. When does that feeling get better? There’s always a light at the end of the tunnel, but do we ever get to that light? I’m in a financially and emotional rut. I’ve always appreciated everything I have, however I always crave stability. I need just five minutes to stop take a breath and realize I’m going to be okay. Everything always works out in the end. I guess this is my five minutes. If you’re ever stuck in a hole, stop everything you’re doing immediately and just breathe. Five minutes won’t make or break your life, a deep breath is always a good thing. Go listen to your favourite song, read a chapter in that book you’ve been meaning to read or just simple go outside, walk a block and just experience life around you. Take that time out we were taught as a kid. It’s not a punishment it’s a few minutes to recollect yourself. Wether your angry, sad, bitter or just simply need some said. It’s the little things that create a bigger picture, no matter how hard it is.
